Planning your honeymoon can be challenging, especially if you’re on a budget and looking for a nice, memorable, affordable honeymoon. That’s not to say it can’t be done. Brad Schnickel can help you have a honeymoon that doesn’t break the bank or put you in debt the first year of your marriage. Follow these simple steps to have an affordable, blissful honeymoon.

What are Your Honeymoon Priorities?

Do you have to spend time in the ocean, or could you enjoy a lake just as easily? If it’s a body of water you’re searching for, then maybe a nice cabin on a lake would be more ideal than having to travel to the coastline.

You can swim, boat, go jet skiing, and do just about everything you can in the ocean — in a lake. A lot of lakes even have a sandy man-made beach for you to relax and sunbathe while sipping a nice cool cocktail, suggests Brad Schnickel.

If you’re honeymooning in the winter and want to participate in outdoor winter activities, you don’t have to pay a fortune to stay at a lodge. You can stay at a nice hotel a few miles away for less than half the price of the lodge.

Do you want a magical, adventurous honeymoon? Disney World is a popular honeymoon destination, but it is also an awfully expensive one. If you and your new spouse love the thrill of an amusement park, search for one that is more affordable and maybe not so far away from your hometown. You can still ride the roller coasters and be carefree and adventurous at a smaller park.

Save Money Getting to Your Honeymoon Destination

Brad Schnickel suggests if you can drive to your honeymoon destination without having to spend an entire day in the car one way, then, by all means, that is probably the most affordable way to go.

You may also consider a bus trip. Several companies across the country offer multi-day trips to numerous places within roughly eight hours of your hometown. Bus trips also offer discounted hotel accommodations, free food vouchers, and other amenities.

Honeymoon Time

Now that you know what type of honeymoon you want and how you’re going to get there, the last step is to decide where to go — many of your decisions will depend on where you live and how far away your honeymoon spot is located.

If you want to be able to do lots of things, then you may consider a cruise, especially if you live within driving distance of a port. Cruises offer you the ocean, outdoor water activities, adventurous activities such as ziplining and rock wall climbing, says Brad Schnickel. Do you enjoy playing Blackjack or slot machines? Maybe you would like to take in a few shows, or go dancing every evening? Then a cruise may be the perfect honeymoon for you because you can do almost anything. Plus, when the ship stops you get to visit a few other destinations.

Planning a wedding is stressful enough without having to plan a honeymoon too. Brad Schnickel is more than happy to help you find the perfect honeymoon spot based on your budget, and what activities you would like to participate in while on your honeymoon. Brad is an expert at finding great places that offer what you’re looking for without it costing a small fortune.
