Bradley Schnickel Offers Travel Tips for Families
Bradley Schnickel knows more than a little about traveling with children. He and his wife have traveled the globe since having their son. Schnickel is always eager to share what he’s learned from his own travel experiences. Below are just a few of Bradley Schnickel’s tips:
1. Get your child ready for his or her first plane ride by explaining what to expect. We all deal with the familiar better than surprises, explains Schnickel. He also suggests bringing along a few games or videos for your tablet as well as booking a non-stop flight to minimize the total travel time.
2. Depart around bedtime for long-distance car rides. That way your child is likely to sleep through most of the journey and won’t be anxious about the long trip.
3. Plan something special for your child for when you arrive. Too often, vacations are all about the adults. Schnickel suggests planning something that’s just for your child, such as a special lunch, a visit to an attraction that he or she will like, or a shopping trip for a special souvenir.
